Rebuilding People Through the Power of a Bicycle

At We-Cycle, our mission is simple but powerful: rebuilding people through the power of a bicycle. We responsibly and safely redistribute used and refurbished bicycles to homeless or at-risk members of the community, providing them with reliable transportation that opens doors to employment, education, and essential services.

Every bike we refurbish represents a second chance — both for the bicycle and for the person who receives it. Our team of dedicated volunteers works tirelessly in the workshop, repairing donated bikes and ensuring each one is safe and road-ready before it goes to its new owner.

A small donation makes a difference. Whether it's a monetary contribution through Venmo, a bike you no longer use, or your time as a volunteer, every act of generosity helps us continue our work. Your support directly translates into wheels on the ground for someone who needs them.

We-Cycle is proudly a member of the Iowa Community Bike Shops (CBS), a network of organizations across Iowa that share our belief that bikes create community. We are also proud participants in RAGBRAI, Iowa's legendary bike ride, where we spread the word about our mission and connect with fellow cycling enthusiasts.

Our workshop is more than just a repair shop — it's a community hub where people come together, learn new skills, and make lasting connections. From experienced mechanics to first-time volunteers, everyone is welcome at We-Cycle.

Join us in our mission. Donate a bike, make a financial contribution, volunteer your time, or simply spread the word. Together, we can rebuild lives, one bicycle at a time.
